Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, of Adamawa state has sought for the House of Assembly's approval to appoint former Speaker of the house Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi Wambai, as the new Chairman of the state Assembly Service Commission.
The Governor, has also sought for the approval to appoint new members of the commission which include, Hon. Vidiyeno Bamayi, Bello Pur, Mohammed Shehu and Zainab.
Governor Fintiri's request was contained in a letter sent to the house and read at the resumed plenary session today by the speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas.
The Speaker further referred the letter to the Joint Committees on Public Service and House Services for scrutiny.
It could be recalled that the house yesterday terminated the appointments of Chairmen and members of the House of Assembly Service Commission and that of Civil Service Commission as requested by the Governor.
Earlier, the Governor had intimated the house that due process was not followed in the appointment of the affected persons and however pleaded with the hallowed chamber to terminate their appointments.
