Adamawa state Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reaffirmed that the doors of government are wide opened for advice recommendations from traditional rulers in the state on how best to run his administration.
Governor Fintiri made this known when he received First Class Chiefs led by their Chairman and Lamido Adamawa, HRH, Alh, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, who paid him a sallah homage at the Presidential Lodge, Government House Yola, today.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri told them that his administration will continue to accord premium attention on security sector and support traditional institutions in an effort to get the state rid of criminal activities.
While stating that the sallah celebration was done peacefully, he prayed for peaceful coexistence amongst the diverse people in the state and country at large.
He then urged them to advise parents on the need to keep vigilance on their children, urging them to continue in advising most especially
youths in their communities against drug abuse.
Governor Fintiri used the medium and reassured that his administration is focused on providing dividends of democracy, adding that his administration has recorded tremendous success in the security and education sectors respectively.
Speaking earlier, Lamido Adamawa HRH Dr. Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa said they are at the Government House to pay homage on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiris, saying paying sallah homage on the number one citizen in the state has been a long tradition.
Lamido appreciated the Governor and his entourage for attending the durbar at his palace after the sallah prayers.
Furthermore, he applauded the Governor for giving them prominence by inviting Royal Fathers to come and pay homage together.
He also applauded him for his stand on insecurity and education, stated that without quality education and security there will be no development.
He prayed for God to give the Governor the strength and vision to fulfill all his campaign promises and for peaceful coexistence in the state and country at large
