Adamawa state House of Assembly has just terminated the appointment of chairmen and members of the chairmen and members of the State Civil Service Commission (CSC) and House of Assembly Service Commission respectively.
The house presided by its speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, was divided in order to get the required number of those for and against the termination as required by the law.
After the division, the members who appended their signatures for the termination were 17 , while those against were 6 in number.
The termination of the appointment of the affected followed a letter to that effect by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, as read at the resumed plenary session by the speaker.
The governor told the members that due process was not followed by the immediate past administration in the appointment of the affected persons thereby seeking for house approval to terminate their appointments.
Getting the required number, the speaker announced the termination of the chairmen and members of the commissions respectively.
