ADAMAWA GOVT REAFFIRMS COMMITMENTS TO ADDRESSING INSECURITY
Apparently disturbed by the security threats that has continued to affect the lives of citizens in some parts of the state, the Adamawa State Government has reaffirmed its commitments to stem the tide of security challenges in some parts the state.
The government declared that, it is making frantic efforts to see that whatever is required, is provided to all the security apparatus including the local hunters and vigilante groups so as to adequately complement government's efforts in tackling the issue.
The Permanent Secretary Security, Government House, Yola, Adamawa, Ahmadu Baji, stated this at the inauguration ceremony of the new House Standing Committee on Security and Border Integration at house during the week.
According to him, Governor Fintiri, has done wonderfully well particularly on the issue of the dreaded Shila Boys that were hitherto terrorising the Yola, the state capital.
Baji, posited that plans are on the ground aimed at addressing insurgency and any other security challenges that make lives of the citizens uncomfortable, explaining that so far the present administration had made a lot of interventions at the insurgency affected areas including Madagali and Michika.
He appealed for synergy between the legislature and the executive arms to enable them close ranks and deal with the issue squarely for peace, unity and development.
