Tribunal Confirms The Election of former Speaker, Kabiru Mijinyawa


The Election Petition Tribunal holden at Yola, the Adamawa capital has just dismissed the petition filed by the Candidate of the PDP, Adamu Baba Mustapha, for Yola south constituency Adamawa state House of Assembly, confirming the election of former Speaker of the House of Assembly(APC), Kabiru Mijinyawa.

The court struct out the suit for lack merits and failure to comply with the electoral acts, saying that the petitioner failed to link evidence to his prayers.

A 29 years old forest guard identified as Sunday Markus, has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly stabbing a 25 years old Isa Hamadu to death. Adamawa State House of Assembly on Tuesday, received the name of Leader Andrew Leneke, from Demsa LGA, for screening and confirmation as Commissioner. News Platform  Leader Leneke's name was sent to the assembly by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in a letter addressed to assembly and read at the plenary presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley. After presenting the letter at the hallowed chamber, Rt. Hon.
