Tribunal Confirms The Election of former Speaker, Kabiru Mijinyawa


The Election Petition Tribunal holden at Yola, the Adamawa capital has just dismissed the petition filed by the Candidate of the PDP, Adamu Baba Mustapha, for Yola south constituency Adamawa state House of Assembly, confirming the election of former Speaker of the House of Assembly(APC), Kabiru Mijinyawa.

The court struct out the suit for lack merits and failure to comply with the electoral acts, saying that the petitioner failed to link evidence to his prayers.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. Magistrate Adamu ordered the remand of Nakura when he was arraigned before him over multiple allegations slammed against him by the Adamawa State Police Command. Alh. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
