Honourable members of the Adamawa state House of Assembly have just confirmed the appointment of Barr. Afraimu K. Jingi, as the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Adamawa state.
The confirmation was sequel to the consideration of a letter sent to the hallowed chamber by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, seeking for house's approval to appoint the nominee.
The letter was read at the resumed plenary session yesterday by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas.
Consequently, the members resolved and invited the nominee, an indigene of Fufore LGA, to appear before the hallowed chamber today for screening and possible confirmation.
The nominee who appeared before the members as requested, was successfully screened and subsequently confirmed by the members.
After the confirmation, the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, directed the clerk of the house to communicate the resolution of the house to the governor for further action.
