Reprieve may come to the workers who secured their appointment before March this year, as the Adamawa State House of Assembly has adopted about 4 point resolutions with a view to ending the plight of the affected workers in the state.

The house resolved and urged the executive arm to pay the salary of those who Secured their appointment letters into state civil service on or before 28March, 2019, to cushion the effects of hardship faced by workers.

The Honourable Members further urged on the executive arm to use the voucher of March 2019, to be paying salaries with it so as to capture the affected workers.

The members further appealed to state government to pay half of salary arrears of the affected, as well as ensure speedy conclusion of investigations into the procedure used by the immediate past government in the employment of the workers.

The hallowed chamber resolved that it should be briefed after the payment of the salaries so as to know the situation of things on the ground.

The resolutions of the state legislators was sequel to a motion of urgent public importance brought before the house by the Majority Leader of the house, Hon. Hammantukur Yettisuri(Jada Mbulo) at the resumed plenary session presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon.Aminu Iya Abbast, today.

Hon. Yettisuri, who briefed his colleagues about the plight of the affected workers, prayed the house consider the situation of the workers and see how to rescue them.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon.Aminu Iya Abbas, who presided over the sitting, directed the clerk to communicate the resolutions of the members to the executive arm for further action.
