ADAMAWA NAWOJ EMBARKS ON FAMILIARISATION VISIT ON MEDIA HOUSES

Newly Executive Council of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Adamawa State Chapter, has embarked upon a familiarisation visit on various media organisations in the state.

Already, the association has visited Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) Fombina and Gotel Communications, and expected to visit Adamawa Press Limited, Publishers of The Scope Newspaper, Yola, Adamawa Television Corporation (ATV), Yola, Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation(ABC), Yola, and Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Yola.

The new officials led by their Coordinator, Zainab Saidu Abubakar( TV Gotel) were received at Fombina and Gotel by the General Managers of the organizations, Mohammed Dahiru Garba, and Mohammed El-Yakub, respectively.

Speaking earlier while leading other exco on the visit, the the Coordinator of association told the GMs that they came primarily to familiarise themselves with their organisations.

The Coordinator added that as new exco of the association, they found it necessary to embark on the visit so as to solicit for their support to enable them take the association to the greater height.

According to her, their coming was also to intimate them about the forthcoming 30th Anniversary of the association which is slated for 29th September, 2019, in Abuja, and appealed to them to release and support their colleagues in various media outfits to enable them attend.

Zainab Saidu Abubakar, made a passionate call on the media bosses to allocate special time for airing the activities of their great association.
Responding separately, the GMs of the media outfits assured the women journalists of their support and coorperation, saying they will do everything within their capacities to enable the association succeed.

The GMs promised to support them both in cash and kind and however congratulated them for their emergence as the new exco of the association in the state.
