A'M NOT AT THE STATE ASSEMBLY TO MAKE MONEY, SAYS HON. MYANDASSA

While many politicians vie for juicy political offices in order to enrich themselves and their cronies, Adamawa State House of Assembly Member representing Lamurde constituency, Hon. Myandassa Bauna, has said he is not at the Assembly in order to make money.

Hon.Myandassa, insisted that he has been elected by his people to represent them through the provision of people oriented legislations and not to make money, and said he will not in anyway connive with anybody in order to get it.

Hon. Myandassa, stated this while receiving groups of people from his constituency, who paid him a thank you visit in his office recently.

According to him, if the money comes, he will make his people know that there is money through the provision of constituency projects, but if it does not come, there is no problem and that he will not cut corners in order get it.

The Legislator who sounded religious, vowed not to allow his representation to take him to hell fire hereafter, assuring that he will stand on the part of truth for the progress of his constituency, house of assembly and the state in general.

He told them that he was planning to declare free education in his entire constituency upon assumption of office, but now that Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has declared it in the entire state, he will look at any other area where he will complement governor's good effort in providing dividends of democracy to his electorate.

The Lawmaker however attributed the security challenges that has been confronting the society today to lack of fear of God, saying if there is fear of God in the hearts of people, nobody will like to harm his fellow human being not to talk of killing him.

He observed with concern how many people feed fat on the incessant security challenges besetting the entire nation, explaining that many people get huge money in the situation, but unfortunately according to him, they seem to forget that there is judgement of God.

He thanked the groups for the visit and advised them to embrace peace and dialogue in every situation, appealing to them to support the present administration in the state to enable it deliver on its laudable programmes for the people.

Speaking earlier, the representatives of the groups, Jackson Inuwa and Mallam Jonah Haruna, told the member that they came along side their councillors primarily to thanked him and Governor Fintiri, for appointing their people to serve as councillors.

The groups pledged their unflinching support to their member and Governor Fintiri led administration in the state.
