COUNCILLOR, TRADITIONAL RULER REGAIN FREEDOM AFTER 18 DAYS IN YOLA PRISON
Respite came the way of the Councillor representing Modire Ward in Girei Local Government Area, Adamawa state, Hon. Paul Danladi, and the Ward Head of Fombina, Zira Garba Masi, on Friday, as the Chief Magistrate Court 2 granted them bail after they had spent 18 days in prison custody. The Councillor and the Traditional Ruler were remanded in Yola Correctional Center by the court on Monday, 19th July, 2021, following an application for the revocation of bail by counsel to the complainants, M. A. Adamu (Senior State Counsel 2). Adamu, had applied that the bail granted to the duo be revoked since they deliberated refuse to obey the order of the court by interfering and threatening the lives of some of the complainants/witnesses involved in the matter.
