The Member representating Nasarawo Binyeri Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Umar Nashon Gubi, has lauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for capturing Sebore -Tola road in 2023 budget. According Hon. Umar, arrangements have been put in place for the flag off the construction of the road in his constituency by Governor Fintiri. The Lawmaker and the Chairman House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs made the commendation while speaking to Assembly Correspondents in Yola. Several houses and shops were on Monday, razed in a renewed communal clash between Waja and Lunguda communities in Lafiya, Lamurde Local Goverment Area, Adamawa State. The fresh clash erupted between 6:00pm and 7:00pm in Lafiya where miscreants went on setting houses, shops and other property ablaze. Though, no life lost in the incident but sources told NEWS PLATFORM that 4 houses and 11 shops were burnt during the clash. The Spokesman of the Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the incident, saying that 4 houses and 11 shops were affected. SP Nguroje, told NEWS PLATFORM that the Commissioner of Police, S.K. Akande, was at the scene of the incident on Tuesday, and that nomalcy has since returned in the area. He said that investigation is going on to arrest the perpetrators and vowed that the Command will ruthlessly deal with those behind the unfortunate incident.

Ahead of 2023 general elections, the Adamawa State Commissioner of Police (CP), S. K. Akande, has advised men of the Command to be apolitical during and after the polls. CP Akande, however revealed that the Command has designed strategic action plan for to ensure a hitch free election throughout the state. He advised police officers and other security actors to be neutral and warned politicians not to drag security agencies into politics while assuring of level playing ground for all. A Victim of recent attack in Kala'a community, Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State, Chavalada John, has exonerated the Nigeria Preacher and the President Emnamu Foundation from the attack. Chavalada, clarified that the destruction was perpetrated by the youth who acted on their own and not based on the order of the President of the Foundation, and Humanitarian Activist, Dr. Emmanuel Musa. It could be recalled that some youth in Kala'a community burnt down 2 houses on the 22nd December, 2022 following an accusation that the owners practise witchcraft. After the attack, an online media reported that it was the Cleric and Presidernt of the Foundation, Dr. Emmanuel Musa, who instigated the congregants to kill and burn down the houses belonging to the perceived enemies. It was also reported that Dr. Emmanuel, ordered the congregants during a crusade which he had organised to kill as well as burn down houses of the said enemies whom he had accused of witchcraft. A 21 year old Muhammed Umar, has been apprehended by the men of the Adamawa State Police Command for stealing a Keke NAPEP. NEWS PLATFORM can report. The suspect, an indigene of Shuwari, old Maiduguri in Borno State, resides at Bayan Tike, Kasuwan Kuturu in Mubi, Adamawa state where he allegedly perpetrated the crime. Muhammed, had voluntarily confessed to the alleged crime while being interrogated by the spokesman of the Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, on Thursday.
