Worried by the spate of unemployment in the society, the Senstor representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas, has pledged to lobby for the conversion of Federal Government's structure to skills acquisition centre for youth. Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended a 30 years old man identified as Buba Alhaji Adamu, over the allegation of kidnapping. The suspect who hails from Abba Kumbo, Wuro Bokki in Fufore LGA, was arrested on the 23rd February, 2024, for kidnapping a woman. The suspect who had confessed to the crime, said that he had once participated in kidnapping, adding that himself and 2 other suspects who are currently at large abducted the woman. He revealed that he is into cattle rustling only and not kidnapping, saying that he rustles cattle and sell at Ngurore and Song markets respectively. "I don't kidnap people. A driver identified as David Donald has been remanded in prison custody in Yola, Adamawa state for the offence of cheating. An Upper Area Court 4 sitting in Yola, issued the remand order after the accused pleaded quilty to the alleged offence contrary to section 302 of the penal code law. Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) has announced the appointment of Engr. Abdulrahman Ahmad Isa, as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company. The appointment of Eng. Abdulrahaman, according to the company, is effective from 1st February, 2024.
