Adamawa Guber Aspirant Attends Michika Cultural Festival, Gets More Support

Governorship Aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Felix Tangwami, has graced the Michika annual cultural festival, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the inhabitants.

This is coming as Chief Tangwami, recently intensified grassroots mobilisation by meeting paramount rulers, youth groups, associations/unions, stakeholders ahead of the governorship election in 2027.

While attending the festival held at the Michika Chiefdom in Michika LGA, Chief Tangwami, commended the paramount ruler, Mbege Ka Michika, Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga, and his council for organising the event.

The governorship hopeful further extolled the royal father and his Chiefdom for preserving the cultural heritage of the community, describing it as a vital tool for unity and development.

He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance and pledged to prioritise rural development, education, and cultural promotion if elected.

“This kind of gathering reflects the strength of our people and the importance of unity. Culture remains a foundation for development,” Tangwami stated.

The APC aspirant also used the opportunity to engage with community stakeholders, including traditional rulers, youth groups, and women associations, in what observers described as a strategic grassroots outreach ahead of the gubernatorial contest.

Though largely cultural in outlook, the event subtly reflected the growing intersection between politics and community life, as leaders continue to leverage such platforms to connect with the electorate.

The festival ended on a high note, reinforcing Michika’s reputation as a hub of cultural pride and communal harmony, while setting the stage for deeper engagement between leaders and the people.
