Speaker Bathiya Congratulates New APC Chair, Urges Democratic Ideals



Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, has congratulated the newly elected Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under the able leadership of Alh.Hamza Bello Madagali.


The Speaker on behalf of the Members of the assembly congratulated Alh. Hamza, led Exco, and wished them success in steering the affairs of the party.


He said, "Your emergence at this critical time reflects the confidence reposed in your capacity to provide purposeful leadership, strengthen party unity, and advance the ideals of democracy in our dear state. 


"The responsibility before you is both significant and demanding. I am confident that with dedication, inclusiveness, and a clear vision, you will steer the party toward greater cohesion and success ahead of the 2027 general elections". 


Rt. Hon. Bathiya said that as a legislative body, they look forward to a continuous collaboration in the collective pursuit of good governance, sustainable development, and the welfare of the people of Adamawa State.


According to him, it is their shared duty to uphold the principles of accountability, transparency, and service to the people.


"Equally, I want to commend the leader of of our party in the State Rt Hon Dr Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and other stakeholders for ensuring a peaceful congresse from ward to the state an indication that the party is ready for victory at the polls", he added.


He wished them a successful tenure and prayed for wisdom, strength, and guidance as they pilot the affairs of the party.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM.
