Massive Support as Tangwami Storms APC Secretariat, Unveils Blueprint for Adamawa
As a build up to governorship primary election in Adamawa State, the Governorship Aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Adamawa State, Chief Felix Tangwami (Garkuwan Mbula), on Thursday, stormed the party's state secretariat, unveiling his blueprint for the development of Adamawa state.
Tangwami and his delegation were warmly received at the Secretariat by the Chairman of the party, Alh. Hamza Bello Madagali, and the entire Exco of the party as well as cream of supporters.
Addressing the leadership of the party on the mission of their visit, Chief Tangwami, said that he was at the Secretariat to formally informed them about his ambition to contest for the office of the Governor, saying it is not out of ambition alone, but out of a sincere desire to consolidate progress, strengthen unity, and build a more prosperous future for all.
"I am here before you today with a deep sense of responsibility, humility, and commitment to the future of our great state. I am Chief Felix Tangwami Garkuwan Mbula, and as you may be aware, i have offered myself to serve as Governor.
"I offer myself as a servant-leader, ready to build on existing achievements, ready to unite our people, and ready to deliver a future that every Adamawa citizen can be proud of," he stated.
He said that his vision is clear: to build on these foundations and take Adamawa State to greater heights across infrastructure, education, healthcare, security, economy and civil service reforms, saying that he has seen commendable strides that deserve continuity, not abandonment.
"I have been in the business of improving lives, correcting anomalies caused by bad systems, I have served in differs leadership positions during both the military era and now in Democracy, I have contributed my quota and still counting to uphold a decent living standards among the people of the State, particularly those at the grassroots with a view to promoting humanity.
"Governance is a continuous process, and where progress has been made, it is only wise, just, and beneficial to the people that such progress be sustained and improved upon. Continuity does not mean complacency. It means strengthening what works while innovating where necessary", he stated.
He disclosed that his government will expand ongoing road networks, improve rural-urban connectivity, and ensure that infrastructure development reaches underserved communities, saying that his goal is not just roads, but economic corridors that stimulate trade, agriculture, and industry.
On security sector, he said no meaningful development can take place without peace and security, adding his administration will adopt a comprehensive approach to security that includes: strengthening collaboration with security agencies; community-based intelligence gathering Investment in technology-driven security systems among others.
He said that civil service will be strengthened through capacity building, digitization, transparency, and merit-based progression and that they are very much aware that a motivated civil service is key to effective governance.
According to him, Adamawa State is richly diverse, and that diversity is their strength, not their weakness, insisting that he committed to building a government that recognizes no religious or ethnic barriers whether Christian, Muslim, or of any other faith.
My leadership will be guided by fairness, justice, and inclusivity. Appointments, policies, and programs will reflect the diversity of our state. We will promote interfaith dialogue, mutual respect, and unity at all levels.
He said that the future of Adamawa lies in its youth and women and that he create job opportunities through skills acquisition and entrepreneurship programs, provide access to funding and mentorship, encourage political participation and leadership inclusion and upport women-led businesses and initiatives.
He explained that the journey ahead requires unity, courage, and collective effort and that Adamawa State has immense potential, and together, they can unlock it.
In his introductory remarks earlier, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. A. K. Jingi, said that the state Exco decided to support him considering his track record.
Barr. Jingi, said that Tangwami is a credible leader with wealth of experience, a seasoned politician who held several key positions, and described as a leader who has what it takes to develop Adamawa State.
Speaking while receiving Governorship Aspirant and his delegation, the APC Chairman Adamawa State, Alh. Hamza Bello Madagali, appreciated the delegation for the visit, describing Tangwami as a leader per Excellence.
Alh. Hamza Madagali assured that the party under his watch will create a level playing ground for all the aspirants to contest, reiterating that the party will ensure a credible process in order to produce candidate that will win election.
Likewise, the Governorship Aspirant received Special Assistants to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as well as Tapithal Pulaku, where the the delegations separately endorsed his candidacy.
