Sen. Iya Abbas Congratulates New APC SWC, Lauds Congress



The Senator representing Adamawa Central Senatorial District, Aminu Iya Abbas, has congratulated Hon. Hamza Madagali, and all newly elected members of the Adamawa State Working Committee (SWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following their emergence at the State Congress held on Saturday.


​Senator Abbas described the election of Hon. Madagali as Chairman and Comrade Mustapha Atiku Ribadu as Secretary, alongside other executive members, as a testament to their dedication, party loyalty, and the collective resolve of members to strengthen the party’s structures in Adamawa State.


​"The smooth conduct of this congress and the quality of leadership produced reflect the unity and vibrancy of our party. I am confident that this new executive team possesses the vision and capacity to lead us toward greater milestones and more inclusive governance."


The Senator also used the opportunity and commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for providing a peaceful and conducive environment that allowed for a hitch-free democratic process. 


He further appreciated the Congress Committee and all party stakeholders for their tireless efforts in ensuring the exercise was conducted with the highest level of transparency and organization.


​As the new leadership takes the helm of party affairs, Senator Abbas urged them to remain steadfast in fostering reconciliation, deepening grassroots engagement, and upholding the principles of equity and progress for all members.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. Magistrate Adamu ordered the remand of Nakura when he was arraigned before him over multiple allegations slammed against him by the Adamawa State Police Command. Alh. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM. Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga. The leadership of the concerned citizens took a swipe at the erstwhile Governor for disrespecting the Royal Father, Michika Chiefdom and the entire good people of Michika.
