Tangwami Guber Bid Gets Boost as Demsa Stakeholders Rally Support
The governorship ambition of Chief Felix Tangwami, has received a major support from a high powered delegation from Demsa Local Government Area in Adamawa who paid him solidarity visit, pledging to strive assiduously towards the success of the governorship bid.
The stakeholders were led by the Commissioner Ministry of Information and Strategy, Adamawa State, James Iliya, who assured him of their unflinching support to enable him clinch the ticket.
Earlier, speaking on behalf of the delegation, Peter Bukido, said that they had decided to visit the governorship aspirant to assure him of their resolve to strive towards his victory.
According to him, Chief Tangwami is leader with the capacity, wealth of experience, and described him grassroots politician needed by the electorate to govern them.
He added that the governorship hopeful political journey and track record in Demsa LGA, Adamawa State and Nigeria in general stand him out, appealing to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to support him in the forthcoming primaries.
Thy sought for a support for Iliya James as its preferred candidate for the Demsa Constituency seat in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, expressing confidence in his leadership and competence.
In his remarks, the former Chairman of Demsa Local Government, James Okossi, enumerated Tangwami’s contributions to grassroots development, noting that the people of Demsa can attest to his efforts over the years.
On his part, Iliya reiterated his support for Tangwami, describing him as an experienced statesman with a strong record of service.
In his response, Chief Tangwami thanked them for the visit and their expression of support, reiterating his intention to contest for the governorship. He said his ambition is focused on providing purposeful and people-oriented leadership.
Chief Tangwami pledged to build on the achievements of the current administration while advocating fairness, transparency, and unity within the party ahead of the primary elections.
