A'm in the Race to Salvage Adamawa South- Prince Fwa
All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Aspirant for Adamawa Southern Zone, Prince Peter Fwa, has officially declared his intention to run for the senatorial seat come 2027. News Platform
Prince Fwa, who made the declaration on Wednesday, while addressing Coordinators and Journalists in Yola, Adamawa state, said that he is in the race to salvage Adamawa South.
He assured his electorate that if given the opportunity at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly, he will put in his best in making quality laws that will benefit both his Senatorial District and Nigeria as a whole.
He disclosed that he had decided to contest following deep reflection and wide consultation with all his traditional rulers, elders, youth, women and stakeholders across communities, saying that he had resolved to answer the call to serve his people.
"Today, I officially declare my intention to represent the Adamawa South Central under the great party, the All Progressives Congress ,APC. My decision is not just about power, it's about service.
"Our people deserve better opportunities for our youth, better support for our farmers, better education for our children and better health care for our families.
"For too long, many of our communities have been left behind. Our roads are in poor condition. Job opportunities are limited, and the voices of our people are not heard", he lamented.
He said he is stepping forward to be the voice that people are yearning for, and that he did come not with empty promises, but with genuine commitment; commitment to listen with integrity and to work tirelessly for the progress of his people.
He said, "Together, we can build a southern zone that works for everyone, where opportunities are created, voice are heard and hope is restored. This is not my journey alone. It is our collective journey.
"Let me also use this opportunity to sincerely appreciate our hardworking Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for this leadership that he's providing to us in Adamwa state".
Speaking earlier, a stakeholder, Norris Gisgard, said the aspirant is a Prince and a professional town planner, entrepreneur, seasoned politician/democrat and has the requisite qualities to contest for senate.
Baring his mind, former Member Adamawa State House of Assembly Numan Constituency, Hon. Gusadi Ahilaga, said that there are basic things that should be put into consideration to elect leaders.
