The hearing in suit seeking to disqualify APC Gubernatorial Candidate in Adamawa State, Aishatu Binani, has been slated for 20th July, 2022 by the Federal High Court 1 Yola Division.  Aside the hearing in the substantive suit instituted by APC Governorship Aspirant, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the court will hear all the pending applications filed by Ribadu, Binani and APC. NEWS PLATFORM reports that some of the pending applications slated for hearing include; motion on notice, originating summons, notice of preliminary objections, motion on the extension of time and counter affidavits. A Jealous House Wife, Hauwa Audu, has landed in prison custody in Yola, Adamawa State for allegedly plotting to kill her estranged husband and 2 of her neighbours. Hauwa, of Daka village in Michika LGA was held by the Chief Magistrate Court I, after she was arraigned before it for an alleged " attempt to commit culpable homicide". She allegedly hired the services of one Kwaji Tizhe, of Nkafa village by paying him the sum of N7, 000, as part payment in order to help her rid her of her husband and 2 others. According to the Prosecutor, ASP Francis Audu, the Defendant hatched a plot to eliminate her husband, James Tizhe and 2 others: Maryamu Bugi and Bugi Walla. The Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have apprehended 2 Suspects for alleged criminal conspiracy and raping of a 35 year old mentally retarded woman. The suspects include; Kwallan John, 23, and Imamu Abdulrahman, 21 residents of Dirma community, Dumne Development Area in Song LGA. The duo allegedly conspired and took the mad woman into an uncompleted building in Dirma on 19th June, 2022 and forcefully had sexual intercourse with her. A statement by the image maker of the Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, and made available to NEWS PLATFORM on Friday, said that the Suspects were apprehended by the Police in Dumne following report rfrom one Simon D. Adamu. Likewise, the men of the Command have arrested a 34 year old Dauda Idris, for sexually assaulting 2 minors in Jiddel community in Michika LGA. Adamawa State High Court of Justice presided by the Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Nathan Musa, has rejected bail application filed by a man convicted and sentenced to 70 years imprisonment for kidnapping.  Justice Nathan, dismissed the bail application filed by the Convict, Layi Musa, through his Counsel, H. S. Garba. The father of 16 sought to be released from prison custody even after he was jailed 70 years without option of fine for kidnapping, house breaking and unlawful possession of weapons. Layi, Buba Sidiki, Buba Mohammed and Shanu Kori who are all Convicts and serving jail terms, were tried and found guilty for abducting a house wife, Aishatu Aliyu Suleiman and her 1 year old son. The Convicts had on the 6th July, 2020, by 1:00am together with 3 others (now at large) abducted Aishatu and her son hail from Yolde-Pate in Yola South Local Government Area and took them to Chambaji hill. A middle age man, Aliyu Hammanseyo, of Mubi North Local Government Area, Adamawa State has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly stabbing his friend to death over N1, 500. The Chief Magistrate Court I sitting in Yola, ordered the remand of the Defendant after he was arraigned before it on Monday, for the alleged offence which contravened section section 191 of the Penal Code law. Hammanseyo, of Sabon Layi Area in Mubi North LGA, admitted stabbing Bilham Babangida, with a knife on the chest leading to his death on the 7th June, 2022. The Defendant allegedly owed the Deceased the said amount of money, and that when the Deceased noticed that he had money, he demanded the refund of his N1,500. Federal High Court 1 sitting in Yola, Adamawa State, on Monday,  ordered substituted service on the APC Governorship Candidate, Aishatu Binani, as result of her absence in court . The presiding Judge, Hon. Justice A. M. Anka, ordered that Binani, be served by substituted means by pasting the Court's process on her residential addresss and the notice board of the Court. The order followed a ex-parte application filed on Monday, the 20th June, 2022 by I. M. Dikko, Counsel to the Plaintiff, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, who is challenging the victory of Binani, at the just concluded primary election. Nuhu Ribadu, an Aspirant during the exercise dragged APC, Binani and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), alleging over voting and votes buying during the exercise.
