Hardship: Adamawa Police Vow to Resist Violent Protest

The Commissioner of Police, Adamawa State Command, Dankombo Morris, has ordered the deployment of personnel to protect lives and property ahead hardship protest scheduled for 7th April, 2025. To this end, the CP has issued a directive to all command and officers within the command, alerting them to a planned nationwide protes. This is contained in a release by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje and made available to News Platform. He said that the directive comes in a wake of  intelligence reports that some groups, operating under the guise of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), are preparing to mobilise protests across Nigeria to draw attention to what the organisers describe as the prevailing high cost of living and government suppression of free speech. He explained that the affected groups have flooded social media platforms with narratives aimed at winning public sympathy, discrediting the government, and galvanising support for the protest....

Song Lawmaker Launches Educational Support Scheme with 150 Students

Emmanuel Kefas, has launched educational support scheme for the benefit of indigent students studying at various higher institutions in the country. NPD: Police Conduct Sanitation Exercise in Adamawa

As part of the activities marking the National Police Day celebration, the men and officers of the Adamawa State Police Command on Wednesday, engaged in environmental sanitation and clean up exercise. The personnel of the command started the sanitation exercise from Mubi roundabout to Doubeli bypass in Yola, Adamawa State Capital. Speaking to newsmen during the exercise, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, said that the police in Adamawa State have complied with the directives of the IGP following the presidential approve of Police National Day. SP Ngurore said that the Commissioner of Police, Dankombo Morris, had mandated police officers to go out for community service, saying that 2nd April has been set aside for sanitation exercise.
