ADHA SPEAKER GREETS MUSLIMS AT SALLAH, HARPS ON PEACE, UNITY



Speaker Adamawa state House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, has felicitated with the entire muslim ummah in the state on the occasion of  Eid el kabir.

Rt. Hon. Iya Abbas enjoined muslims to reflect on the virtures of sacrifice, patience, tolerance, humility and ensure total  submission to the will of Allah as examplified by prophets Ibrahim and Ismail.

He called on them to use the period to promote peace and unity in the society, and urged them to pray fervently for the growth and development of the state.

The speaker therefore wish the muslim ummah a happy and peaceful sallah celebration.

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. Magistrate Adamu ordered the remand of Nakura when he was arraigned before him over multiple allegations slammed against him by the Adamawa State Police Command. Alh. Gambo Nakura was arraigned before the court for the offences of defamation of character, use of insulting and abusive language, disturbance of public peace and inciting disturbance contrary to sections 378, 379, 385 and 80 of the penal code law. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM. Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga. The leadership of the concerned citizens took a swipe at the erstwhile Governor for disrespecting the Royal Father, Michika Chiefdom and the entire good people of Michika. According to them, the conduct of the former Governor of Adamawa state who hails from Michika Chiefdom has left many deeply disappointed, saying his failure to liberate his people from oppression when he had the chance remains a painful reminder of what happens when leadership lacks vision and resolve.
