SALLAH: ADAMAWA CP ASSURES OF TIGHT SECURITY, TASKS FAITHFUL ON COVID-19 RULES


As Muslims in Adamawa state join their counterparts in marking Eid-El-Kabir, the State Police Command has assured of water tight security during and after Sallah celebrations.

The Police Command tasked faithful to maintain social distancing as well as strictly observe other Covid -19 protocols for their safety and that of other people.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adeyanju in a statement signed by the Spokesman of the Command, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, and made available to NEWS PLATFORM, assured that the Command is adequately prepared towards ensuring hitch free Sallah celebrations.

CP Adeyanju declared that proactive and robust anti-crime measures including the deployment of tactical and intelligence assets of the Command have already been put in place to prevent any untoward incidents in the state.

However, he reminded the citizens that the COVID-19 prevention regulation orders are still in force, and advised the faithful to observe the period bearing in mind the unusual time the society has found itself following the outbreak of the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic.

According to him, the Command will leave no stone unturned towards the enforcement of the orders, saying his belief is that with the citizens' collective perseverance and voluntary compliance with the prevention regulations put in place by governments at all levels, the society will surely overcome the  pandemic as well as crime.

CP Adeyanju Olugbenga felicitated with Muslim Ummah in Adamawa state and beyond, and wished them fruitful Sallah celebration.
