The selection of the new Hama Bachama followed the demise of Honest Irmiya Stephen, the 28th paramount ruler of Bachama kingdom who died last month.
A statement by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Humwashi Wonosikou, congratulated the new Hama Bachama and commended the kingmakers for a peaceful process that saw the selection of Dr. Shagah.
He said that he has doubt the new king and a trained Narcotics Officer and Technocrat will lead his people very well, and applauded the peaceful disposition of the new ruler.
He expressed optimism that the new king will build on the legacies of late Honest Stephen who stood tall during his reign in peace building initiatives.
The Governor urged him to bring to bear on his community and the state his wealth of experience at a time that the state is passing through challenges of growth and development.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri appealed to the kingdom to maintain the spirit of peace building and cultural norms of their forefathers.
