POLICE NAB 42 YEAR OLD MAN FOR DEFILING OWN DAUGHTER, IMPREGNATES HER IN YOLA

In its renewed fight against rape and sexual related violence against Women and children in Adamawa state, the state Police Command has apprehended a 42 year old man for defiling his 17 year daughter.

The suspect according to the command has since put his daughter in a family and now undergoing medical screening in Yola South Local Government Area.

A statement by the Image Maker of the Command, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje and made available to NEWS PLATFORM Thursday, said that the operatives of the command arrested the suspect on 1st July, 2020.

According to the statement, the culprit, Mathew Joseph and resident of Yola South Local Government Area was having frequent sexual intercourse with his old daughter until his arrest.

It added that the suspect took the advantage of the daughter (victim) after he had divorced her Mother over a year ago and had been spending his night with her until she got pregnant for him.

Investigation, according to the statement, so far revealed that the victim is three months pregnant and is now undergoing Medical screening.

It warned the public to desist from such attitude, saying the Command under CP Olugbenga Adeyanju will not take it lightly with anyone found to be violating laws of land.
