ADAMAWA CP HOSTS OTHER SERVICE CHIEFS, ASSURES OF PEACEFUL POLLS

As part of his determination to ensure stability in internal security as well as conducive environment for the conduct of 2023 general elections, the Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP SK Akande, played host to other service chiefs in the state. Those hosted by CP Akande, on Friday, include; the Nigerian Army, Department of Security Service(DSS), Nigeria Customs, Nigeria Securtity and Civil Defense Corps, Fire Service, Nigeria Airforce, Nigeria Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service and Federal Road Safety. The meeting was organised by the Police Boss ahead of the general elections billed to hold in February and March respectively, with a view to ensuring a level playing ground for hitch exercise.  The service chiefs were able to strenghten existing synergy and actionable intelligence sharing, carrying out joint and various strategic planning as well as execution of operations. APPEAL COURT RESTORES REPS JA'AFAR TICKET FOR MUBI, MAIHA

The Court of Appeal Yola Division has set aside the judgement of the Federal High Court which voided the election of Hon. Ja'afar Magaji, for Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha Federal constituency. The appellate court invalidated the judgement of the lower court delivered on the 25th November, 2022, which annulled the ticket of Hon. Ja'afar Magaji. The presiding judge of the court, Hon. Justice H. A. Abiru, allowed the appeal, nullified the judgement and restored Hon. Ja'afar's ticket as the authentic and duly elected candidate of the party. He held that the trial court erred when it came to conclusion that the delegates who had voted at the primary election held on the 25th May, 2022, were fake delegates. The Court of Appeal sitting Yola, Adamawa state on Thursday, set aside the  judgement of the Federal High Court which nullified the election which produced Hon. Ja'afar Magaji, as APC flagbearer for Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha Federal Constituency. The appellate court nullified the lower court judgement and restored Hon. Ja'afar's ticket.

MAN IMPREGNATES GIRLFRIEND, DUMPS NEWBORN BABY IN A TOILET

An Okada Rider, Ibrahim Lalle in Dumne, Song Local Government Area, Adamawa state has been accused of impregnating his girl friend, Hande Daniel, and dumping her newborn baby in toilet after delivery. Ibrahim of Unguwan Gangare, Bariki in Dumne (now at large), allegedly dumped his newborn baby girl in a toilet near Government Day Secondary School (GDSS) Central Dumne for 2 days. The commercial motorcycle operator allegedly put the baby in a polythene bag and threw her in a toilet without cutting umbilical cord of the baby for 2 days. A resident of the community had while passing around the area in the early hours of Thursday, 23rd January, 2023, heard the baby crying in the toilet and immediately alerted members of the commumnity who rescued her.  A source in told NEWS PLATFORM that Ibrahim dumped the baby in the toilet after his mother had told him that she does not want to be a grand mother of an "infidel" shortly after Hande, delivered in their house. BREAKING: APPEAL COURT TO DELIVER JUDGEMENT IN SUIT BY ADHA SPEAKER, 2 OTHERS ON FRIDAY

The Court of Appeal Yola Division has fixed the 3rd February, 2023 for judgement in suit instituted by the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas. NEWS PLATFORM can report. The appellate court will also deliver judgement in 2 other appeals filed by Hon. Auwal D. Tukur against Ibrahim Mustapha and 3 others, as well that of Ibrahim Mustapha verses Rt. Hon. Iya Abbas and 3 others.   In his appeal, the Speaker has joined Ibrahim Mustapha, PDP, Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) and Auwal D. Tukur, as 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th respondents. The appellate court presided by Hon. Justice H. A. MUBI/MAIHA APC TICKET: APPEAL COURT SLATES THURSDAY FOR JUDGEMENT

The Court of Appeal sitting Yola, Adamawa state has fixed the 2nd February, 2023 for judgement in suits for APC ticket Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha Federal Constituency. NEWS PLATFORM  The appeals were instituted by the incumbent Member representing Mubi North, Mubi South and Maiha at the House of Representatives, Hon. Ja'afar Magaji and Jibrilla Mohammed Jandani(Ustaz) respectively. Hon. ja'afar, is battling to reclaim his ticket which was voided by the Federal High Court presided by Hon. Justice A. M. Anka, on the 25th November, 2022. In his suit, the Federal Legislator asked the appeal coury to allow his appeal, set aside the judgment the lower court which invalidated his ticket. Likewise, he sought for an order upholding the declaration that he is the winner of the APC primary election conducted on 27th May, 2022. On his part, Jibrilla Jandani, whose suit caused Hon.
