A popular broadcaster, Peter Cheman Koti has extended his hearty congratulations to Mrs. Delu Bulus Yakubu on her appointment as the pioneer National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programmes Agency (NSIPA). Mrs Delu Bulus Yakubu, a Veteran Humanitarian Worker was appointed as COE NSIPA by President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. "SHE DIDN'T CRY DURING SEX" FATHER OF 20 ACCUSED OF RAPE TELLS POLICE

A 40 years old man and father of 20, who was accused of raping a 12 years old girl has told Adamawa State Police Command that his victim (names withheld) did not cry during sexual intercourse. The suspect, Muhammed Umar, who hails from Gusupan in Toungo Local Government Area, said he did not force his victim before having carnal knowledge of her. Muhammed made the confession while being interrogated by the spokesman of the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, in Yola on Friday. He narrated thus: "She met me in my shop and said she wanted to buy sugar. While we were interacting, she requested for the sum of N2,000 to refund her step-mother. I dashed her N1,000, and subsequently agreed to offer her body to me". "After we finished arrangement, she went to where we perpetrated the act by herself without anybody forcing her. The Hama Bachama, His Royal Majesty, Homun Dr. Daniel Shaga Ismaila (CON) has commended Dangote Sugar Refinery Numan Operations for empowering hosts communities in Adamawa State. Homun Dr. Daniel, who is also the Chairman Bachama Traditional Council, made the commendation while receiving journalists from Northeast who paid courtesy visit at his palace on Thursday. The journalists were led by the Executive Director, Climate Africa Media Initiative and Centre(CAMIC), Aliu Akoshile as well as the Manager Media Relations in the North, Jibrin Abubakar respectively. DANGOTE GROUP, CAMIC TRAIN 50 JOURNALISTS ON ENVIRONMENTAL JOURNALISM

No fewer 50 journalists cut across Northeast were on Wednesday, trained on environmental sustainability reporting. The workshop which was held in Yola, Adamawa State Capital had journalists drawn from Taraba, Gombe, Yobe, Bauchi, Adamawa and Borno. The 2- day event will be rounded up on Thursday.   Cross section of the journalists were trained at the workshop organised by a non governmental organisation, Climate Africa Media Initiative and Centre(CAMIC), and sponsored by Dangote Group of Company. The participants were equipped with relevant knowledge required to effectively report topical environmental issues in order to protect and promote healthy and safe environment for all. Speaking at the event, a Senior Lecturer Department of English, Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Prof. John Ngamsa, said that the need to promote healthy environment cannot be over-emphasized.
