JUST IN: APPEAL COURT RESERVES JUDGEMENT IN AN APPEAL BY UMAR ARDO AGAINST FINTIRI

The Court of Appeal Abuja Division on Friday, reserved judgement in an appeal filed by the embattled Governorship Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Dr. Umar Ardo. NEWS PLATFORM   The court, after hearing in an appeal brought before it by Dr. Umar Ardo, his Deputy, Amos Yusuf and SDP, reserved judgement in the appeal, and said that the date will be communicated to parties. Dr. Umar Ardo is challenging the judgement of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal which dismissed his petition instituted against INEC, Governor Fintiri and 16 others. While delivering judgement, the Chairman of the tribunal, T. O. Uloho, dismissed the petition, saying that the petition was incompetent, defective, incongruous and not properly instituted and that the petitioners were not certain with what they want. There is palpable anxiety and apprehension among hundreds of electorate in 4 Constituencies of the Adamawa State House of Assembly as the Court of Appeal Abuja Division is set to deliver judgement in 4 appeals filed before it. The appellate court on Wednesday, conducted hearing in 4 appeals filed before it by the Three (3) incumbent members of the House of Assembly and a candidate of the PDP in the 18th March, 2023 general poll. After hearing, the appeal court reserved judgement in the appeals, and said that the dates for judgement will be communicated to the parties involved. The appeals were filed before the court by Hon. Sunday Peter against Hon. Adwawa Donglok for Guyuk constituency and Hon. Ibrahim Musa Italiya against Hon. Mahmud Kallamu for Mayo Belwa constituency respectively. Others include: Hon. FINTIRI, POLICE BOSS, JOURNALISTS PAY LAST RESPECT TO LATE VILIAN MURRAY

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the Commissioner of Police Adamawa State Command on Wednesday, joined cross section of Journalists in paying last respect to late Late female journalist, Vilian Murray. Vilian Murray of Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation(ABC), Yola, died on Saturday, 4th November, 2023 at the age of 44 after brief illness. Several practising Journalists gathered at their Press Centre, Yola Adamawa State to pay their last respect to their deceased colleague. Speaking at the solemn occasion, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who was represented by the Commissioner Ministry of Information and Strategy, Hon. Neido Geoffrey Kofulto, condoled the entire journalists over the demise of their member. KIDNAPPED ADAMAWA JOURNALIST REGAINS FREEDOM 6 DAYS AFTER

Adamawa State based Journalist identified as, Alh. Usman Umar Sahabi has regained his freedom after spending 6 days in kidnappers' den. Recall that unknown gunmen in the early hours of Thursday last week, abducted Alh. Sahabi, who works with Adamawa Broadcasting Corperation (ABC) Yola. Alh. Sahabi is the Chief of Staff to the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley. The spokesperson of the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje has confirmed the release of the journalist.

   The Dangote Cement Plc has announced the creation of 30 new entrepreneurs who are expected to help bolster food production and ginger the Nigerian economy.  The new Chief Executives were graduated weekend following a three-month intensive entrepreneurial and skill acquisition training on poultry farming and business. Former Deputy Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo, has congratulated Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on his victory at the tribunal. Rt. Hon. Mackondo who is the member representing Numan constituency at the assembly, congratulated Governor Fintiri, his Deputy, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta and the entire electorate over the recent decision of the tribunal.
