Adamawa State Command has dismissed as untrue the reports making round that thunderstorm has killed about 18 suspected kidnappers in Toungo Local Government Area.

The police insisted that nobody killed by  thunderstorm in Toungo, instead in Pawati Forest somewhere in Cameroon Republic.

A statement by the Spokesman of the Command, DSP, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje and made available to NEWS PLATFORM Friday, said that the reports making round that that the incident occurred in Adamawa is not true.

The statement added that though Toungo LGA is bordering some villages in Cameroun Republic which at times criminals make their ways to border communities and commit crime, but with border closure, the police have adopted measures in preventing such hoodlums.

It urged the general public to disregard the reports, and assured of the commitment of the command to protecting lives and property of the citizens.
