RELOCATE COLLEGE OF HEALTH TECH TO MICHIKA, ASSOCIATION BEGS FINTIRI

Leadership of Kamwe Development Association Badirisa, Lainde and Federal Housing in Yola, Adamawa has made a passionate appeal to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, to relocate College of Health Technology from Mubi to Michika.

The association averred that the relocation of the college will enable its members feel more government's presence, lamenting that the structures erected for the college have been taken over by reptiles signifying total abandonment.

The Chairman of the association, Eng. Kwaji Tari Kwaya made the appeal during a solidarity visit on the Member representing Michika constituency at State House of Assembly, Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada.

Eng. Kawaji said that former Governor Boni Haruna had graciously established Adamawa State University (ADSU) located in Mubi, saying that in his wisdom, the Governor felt that other parts of the state should have sense of belonging, hence the relocation of some institutions.

During the era, according to him, College of Agriculture was relocated to Ganye and is now a reality, adding that the College of Health Technology was relocated to Michika.

To the people of Michika, he asserted that it is still a mirage because according to him, the executive approval has not been implemented due to what he described as undisclosed forces behind it.

The Chairman noted that the action is unacceptable to them, because the then House of Assembly had passed into law the act of relocation of the 2 Colleges, and however called on the member representing Michika and the Honourable House to evolve legitimate struggle to actualise the relocation of the school to Michika as approved by the government.

Eng. Kwaji Tari Kwaya added that Michika community is confident in the leadership of Governor Fintiri, describing him as a man of his words who has the people of Michika at heart.
