STAKEHOLDERS APPLAUD HON KWADA OVER EFFORT TO ENDING INSECURITY IN MICHIKA


Stakeholders in Michika Local Government Area Adamawa state have applauded the commitment of the member respresenting Michika constituency at the state House of Assembly, Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada to ending insecurity in the LGA.

The Stakeholders have further expressed confidence in the representation of the State Lawmaker, saying that the Legislator has been up and doing in complementing the effort of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in tackling security challenges in the LGA.

The stakeholders who were speaking during a security meeting convened by the House Standing Committee on Security of the State House of Assembly headed by Hon. Ibrahim Musa Italiya(Mayo Belwa) and held at the Michika LGC Secretariat on Monday, said the member has been doing his best towards addressing insecurity in the area.

Speaking during the meeting, the Executive Chairman Michika LGC, Hon. Micheal Shehu said that both the Police and Local Hunters were operating without a single operational vehicle until the intervention of the Legislator.

Hon. Shehu told the committee that the security agencies were finding it very difficult to operate more especially during emergency situations, and that the logistics support rendered to them by the Honourable Member has assisted tremendously in fighting crime in the LGA.

Also speaking, the Commander of Vigilante Michika LGA, Haruna Abba said that the operational van donated to them by Hon. Depolis has been helping them in carrying out their patrol, and that they are now ready to respond to emergency situations.

Haruna Abba stated that they are feeling the impact of the representation of their member and pledged to continue to support him so as to enable him do more for his electorate in the LGA.

Baring their minds to newsmen shortly after the security meeting, cross section of the Stakeholders said that the member is very responsive to their needs, explaining that he reaches out to them at the appropriate time, and urged other elected officials in the LGA to emulate him.

The Stakeholders told newsmen that apart from the 2 patrol vehicles donated to the police in Michika and Vigilante, the Lawmaker had single handedly purchased a plot of land to serve as cemetery for both Christian and Muslim, donated instructional materials to public schools, constructed/ renovated worship centres of the 2 religious bodies, donated bags of cement among others.

According to them, Hon. Depolis has been making them proud among those they elected, saying he deserve the support so as to enable him carry on with his activities.
