In compliance with the Inspector General's directives towards enforcing law and order in the society, the Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adeyanju, has ordered officers and men of the command to identify, arrest, disarm and prosecute persons bearing prohibited firearms. CP Adeyanju specifically directed the Divisional Police Officers, HODs and Operational Commanders to clampdown on person(s) or group (s) found to be in possession of the prohibited firearms in and around Adamawa. Tears of joy rolled from the eyes of a 23 year old, Kabiru Adamu, of Luru Village in Girei Local Government Area, Adamawa State on Friday, when a Yola High Court presided over by Justice Abdul-Azez Waziri, discharged and acquitted him over alleged offence of murder. The young man had been in prison custody for about 6 years since apprehended in connection with the killing of one Mbo Dauda of the same Luru Village on the 24th October, 2014. The Kwandi Nunguraya, His Royal Highness, Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II, has pledged to strive for a sustained peace and harmony among Lunguda and Waja Communities in Guyuk Local Government Area, Adamawa State.  According to Kwandi Nunguraya, Lunguda and Waja coexisted peacefully for time immemorial, and that they will continue to coexist as it used to be, pledging to do everything possible towards ensuring peace between the 2 ethnic groups.
