ADAMAWA: 600 LG STAFF RETIRE AS ADHA C'TEE CALLS FOR NEW RECRUITMENT

  Adamawa State Local Government Service Commission says about 600 staff of Local Government Councils in the state have retired from service in the last 5 years. This is coming as the Adamawa State House of Assembly Standing Committee on Petitions, Public Service and Electoral Matters headed by Hon. Adwawa Donglock(Guyuk) has called for the recruitment of new staff so as to fill in the vacant positions created as a result of the retirement. Hon. Adwawa who made the call during a familiarisation visit on the Commission on Tuesday, urged the Commission to compile the list of vacancies created as a result of the retirement or death and seek approval for the recruitment of new staff to fill in the vacant positions. MADAGALI MP EMPOWERS ELECTORATE WITH #15MILLION SEWING MACHINES, OTHERS

  As part of efforts towards empowering his electorate to become self reliant in the society, the Member representing Madagali constituency at the Adamawa state House of Assembly, Hon. YOLA COURT REMANDS PREGNANT WOMAN, STEPMOTHER, 2 OTHERS OVER MURDER

  A heavily pregnant woman, Zainab Hassan, her sister and 2 of their male brothers have been remanded in a Yola prison custody in connection with alleged gruesome murder of their sister's stepson, Abdullahi Samaila. The suspects, Rukaiyya Audu, 28, Zainab Hassan, 35, Musa Abdullahi,22, and Abubakar Hassan, 19 were alleged to have agreed amongst themselves to do an illegal act by killing the 25 year old Abdullahi. The accused and residents of Sangere FUTY were arraigned before Justice Nathan Musa's High Court in Yola, Adamawa state on 2 count charges of criminal conspiracy contrary to section 60(1) (a) of the Penal Code Law of the state, 2018 and punishable under section 61(1) of same.   According to prosecution, the pregnant woman, Zainab Hassan, the 2 male brothers who are Keke NAPED riders and the 1st defendant, Rukaiyya Audu, conspired and beat thoroughly the stepson son of the 1st defendant to death on 7th November, 2019. LATE DUMBE BIDIMCHI: AYUBA, FAMILY APPRECIATE PUBLIC FOR SUCCESSFUL BURIAL

  The family of late Baba Jauro Dumbe Awatdawen of Bidimchi community in Girei Local Government Area Adamawa state has extended its heartfelt appreciation to those who participated in the burial ceremony of late Baba Dumbe. Late Baba Dumbe of Bidimchi community died on the 28th August, 2020, at the age of 105 after a protracted illness, and left behind a wife, 12 children, 78 grandchildren and 129 great grandchildren. The family in a letter of appreciation dated 3rd September, 2020, and signed by Mr. Ayuba Reuben popularly known as Auman, and former Staff of the State Ministry of Health, thanked the general public for their support. Mr. Ayuba Reuben, noted with satisfaction the support both in material and prayers by friends and well wishers which saw to the successful burial of their father whose sad event occurred on the 28th August, 2020.
