APC YOUTH LEADER REMANDED FOR BEATING, PUNCTURING TIRES OF MAN's CAR OVER GIRLFRIEND

Criminal Area Court sitting in Yola town, Adamawa state has ordered the remand of  Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC) and his fience for beating and puncturing tires of a man's car. The Youth Leader of Unguwan Makama B Ward, Yola South Local Government Area, Zaradeen Abubakar and his fience, Umaima (Aisha) Abdulhamid were ordered to be remanded in prison for the alleged offence. Zaradeen and Umaima were arraigned on 3 count of criminal force, assault and mischief but pleaded guilty. The newly deployed judge of the court, Hon. Nuhu Musa Garta, issued the order after the defendants were arraigned before the court. The defendants were dragged before Hon. Garta, by one, Nasiru Adamu, handset repairer who alleged that Zaradeen had assaulted him without any provocation. 3 ROBBERS WHO STOLE N6.8MILLION FROM YOLA BANK CUSTOMERS ARRESTED

The operatives of the Adamawa State Command attached to Crack Squard have arrested Three (3) suspected armed robbers terrorising customers along bank road in Jimeta Yola and Mubi in the state. The operatives have recovered a vehicle, N26,000, cash and 2 master keys, 4 handsets among others. According to the command, the suspects who are indigenes of Jos, Kaduna and Kano states were apprehended by the operatives during confidence building patrol on  the 11th November, 2021. The suspects include; Sirajo Muhammed, 40, resident of Yankaji, Jos North LGA, Plateau state, Benjamin John, 48, resident of Namso street,Sabon tasha, Kaduna South LGA Kaduna state and Mustapha Abubakar, 45 and hails from zoo road,Kumboso LGA, Kano state. CHARCOAL: ADHA PRESCRIBES 3 MONTHS JAIL TERM, N20, 000 FINE ON FELLING OF A TREE

As part of effort to check indiscriminate felling of trees, the Adamawa State House of Assembly on Wednesday, adopted a report prescribing 3 months jail term or N20, 000 fine on anyone who cuts down a single tree. Equally, the assembly has stipulated 6 months prison term or N80, 000 fine or both on any person who without valid permit, uproots, burns, strips of the back or leaves of a tree; sets fire on any tree or shrub or damages in any way or destroys a tree. The legislators further resolved that any official visitor to the state shall be allowed to plant a tree and also adopted that there shall be strict supervision or inspection of trees at the state and LG levels. DRAMA AS YOLA COURT ORDERS ARREST OF EX-HIGH JUDGE FOR BEATING BAILIFF

Amos Ndari, court's bailiff Yola Chief Magistrate Court I Admin in Adamawa State on Wednesday, ordered the Commissioner of Police to arrest former High Court Judge, Hon. Justice Micheal Bangu Goji. Chief Magistrate Abdullahi Mohammed Digil, ordered the arrest of the judge for allegedly beating court's bailiff, Amos Ndari, who was at his residernce located at the Federal Housing today to serve him with court summons. Justice Goji, was alleged to have confronted the court's bailiff where he assaulted him as well as tore his clothes. The bailiff was earlier directed by the magistrate court to serve the judge with summons following a complaint lodged before it by the State Board of Internal Revenue. In the substance of its complaint, the board alleged that the judge assaulted/slapped an Officer-In- Charge of Girei Tax Office on the 5th November, 2021. YOLA SECURITY GUARD, 1 OTHER REMANDED FOR STEALING IN CHURCH

A 20 year old security guard, Keneth Baba and and his 18 year old friend, Muktar Abubakar, have been remanded in prison custody for allegedly stealing property belonging to a church in Yola, Adamawa state. The accused persons allegedly carted away property belonging to Living Faith Church Nyibango, Yola North Local Government Area on the 2rd November, 2021. Keneth who was the security guard of the church, admitted stealing its property, while his friend, Muktar pleaded not guilty. Chief Magistrate Court I Admin ordered the remand of the defendants after their arraignment before it for alleged theft and receiving of stolen property. Their offences, according to the prosecution, contravened sections 276, 277 and 308 of the state penal code law, 2018. ADAMAWA LEGISLATORS SET TO CREATE ADDITIONAL DISTRICTS

Honourable Members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly have taken steps towards creation of additional districts across the state. The move by the lawmakers to enact a legislation followed the 1st reading of the bill at a resumed plenary presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas. NEWS PLATFORM is yet to ascertain the number of additional districts proposed to be created and from which of the existing districts are to carved out. The bill entitled, " a bill for a law to create districts for Adamawa State of Nigeria and to repeal the Adamawa State Creation of Districts Law 1992" was sponsored by the executive arm. The 1st reading of the bill was sequel to a motion by the Majority Leader, Hon. Hammantukur Yetisuri (Jada Mbulo) and seconded by the Minority Leader, Hon. Muhammed Mutawali(Girei).
