ADAMAWA GOVT TO RECRUIT 2000 QUALIFIED TEACHERS

Adamawa State Government has said it will recruit about 2000 qualified teachers into the Post Primary Schools Management Board in the first quarter of  the year 2020.

To this end, the Government has directed the Head of Civil Service in the state to commence the process of the employment of the teachers.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri gave the directives while receiving the Final Report of the Committee for Regularization of Appointments and Transfer of Service in the State Civil Service from May 2015 to 2019 in Government House Yola today.

According to him, his government has included a certain amount of in the 2020 Proposed Budget Estimate for the recruitment, saying that that was the reason why he partially lifted embargo on employment so as to meet up with the need of man power in some Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the state.

He reiterated the commitment of his government to repositioning  the civil service sector and that government will do everything possible to restore the loss glory of the workforce.

 Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri said very soon he will constitute a committee that will come up with a white paper for the review of the recommendations of the committee towards full implementation.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the Committee on Regularization of Appointments and Transfer of Service in the State Civil Service, Mr Emmanuel Ibrahim said the committee during its assignment had visited ministries, departments and agencies to compile the report.
