FREE EDUCATION: DAN MUSA FLAGS OFF DISTRIBUTION OF INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS


Determined to complement the effort of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the implementation of free education policy, the Member representing Mubi North constituency at the Adamawa state House of Assembly, Hon. Shuaibu Dan Musa has flagged off the distribution of instructional materials to public schools in Mubi North.

Interestingly, Hon. Dan Musa is now the second Legislator after the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Hammantukur Yettisuri(Jada Mbulo) to support the free education policy with free instructional materials to pupils in primary schools.

Speaking while flagging off the distribution of the materials to some selected public schools in Mubi North LGA yesterday, Hon. Suaibu Dan Musa said he decided to support the government of the day by distributing the materials free of charge.

Hon. Dan Musa who is the Chairman House standing Committee on Commerce and Industry said that the kind gesture is one of the campaign promises he made to the people of his constituency when he was canvassing for their votes.

According to him, education is the greatest asset to bequeath to children so as to become responsible leaders in the future, saying that as representative of the people at the Assembly, he will work with his colleagues towards ensuring that the state government is responsive to the payment of counterpart funds through the State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB).

While promising for another intervention after 3 months, the Lawmakers asked them to choose what they want him to do most especially in the education sector with a view to supporting the government to achieving standard education in his constituency.

He commended the teachers in Mubi North for their hard work and diligence and urged them to put in more effort in educating the pupils at the early learning stage, pledging to continue in according the sector premium attention.

In his remark, one of the Stakeholders of All Progressives Congress(APC), Alhaji Sa'adu Munduva  lauded the commitment of the member for his contribution to the growth of education, and called for support to enable him succeed at the Assembly.

Receiving the instructional materials which include exercise books and writing materials, the representatives of the schools, pledged their commitment to working tirelessly towards achieving the mission of the Lawmaker in revitalising the basic education in the area.
