ADAMAWA GOVT TO UNVEIL STRATEGIC DEVT PLANS FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH


Adamawa State Government says it will soon unveil its strategic development plans for the overall socio- economic advancement of the state.

The Government however posited that it will engage top government functionaries in the retreat for better understanding of government policy direction and its programmes in critical sectors of the economy.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri stated this while declaring open a One-Day Induction Exercise for Commissioners Designate held at the Admiral Murtala Nyako Training Center in Yola, yestarday.

Fintiri disclosed that it is his administration's plan to chart a new course for socio economic development of the state in the next few weeks.

The Governor who was represented at the event by his Deputy, Chief Crowther Seth, told the prospective members of the state executive council that the government expects them to use their energy and wealth of experiences towards the realisation of lofty ideas of the government of the day.

He added that the primary objective of his administration is good governance characterised by adherence to rules and procedures, transparency and accountability, saying that the state had suffered the crisis of under development against the background of of its untapped abundant natural and human resources.
