ADHA TO CONFIRM COMMISSIONER NOMINEES TODAY


Adamawa State House of Assembly may today Wednesday complete the screening exercise of the Commissioner Nominees and subsequently confirm them as requested by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

The House of Assembly which began the exercise on Monday this week, successfully screened 20 nominees and expected to finish the exercise today with the remaining 3 nominees.

Some of the nominees screened so far by the House for the appointment include; Mohammed Umaru( Madagali), Elijah Tumba and Dr. Ishaya John Dabari( Michika), Barr. Sunday Mathew(Mubi North), Prof. Isa Abdullahi (Mubi South), Hassan Kaigama( Maiha), Dr. Umaru Garba(Hong) Ph.D, Abdullahi Adamu Prambe( Song), Usman Yahaya Diyajo (Girei), Umaru Iya Daware(Fufore), Ibrahim Mijinyawa(Yola North).

Others include; Mustapha Musa Jika( Yola South), Sanusi Faruk(Toungo), , Aloysius Babadoke and Adamu Atiku Abubakar (Jada), Shuaibu Audu(Mayo Belwa), Iliya James( Demsa), Dr. Dishi Khobe, PhD( Numan), Justina Nkom(Lamurde), and Wulbina Jackson ( Guyuk).

The remaining 3 nominees expected to undergo the process today are; Adamu Titus(Shelleng). Lami Patrict (Gombi) and Bappa Dalhatu Isa( Ganye) Local Government Areas.

But speaking to NEWS PLATFORM this morning, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, confirmed that the hallowed chamber may later in the day complete the exercise and subsequently okay their appointment.

Breaking: Court Sends Gambo Nakura to Prison for Insulting Ribadu, Alisha Buhari, Others

The Chief Magistrate Court II sitting in Yola, Adamawa State has remanded the Chairman Concern Citizens Adamawa State, Alh. Husseini Bello Gambo Nakura in prison custody over multiple offences. News Platform  The court presided by Magistrate M. A. Adamu, remanded the defendant in prison custody and adjourned the case to the 17th September, 2025 for commencement of hearing. Magistrate Adamu ordered the remand of Nakura when he was arraigned before him over multiple allegations slammed against him by the Adamawa State Police Command. Alh. The Michika Concerned Citizens in Adamawa State have blasted the former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna for his outright disrespect to the Paramount Ruler of Michika Chiefdom, HRM. Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga. The leadership of the concerned citizens took a swipe at the erstwhile Governor for disrespecting the Royal Father, Michika Chiefdom and the entire good people of Michika.
