SONG LAWMAKER DONATES SEWING MACHINES, CASH, COMMISSIONS BLOCK OF CLASSROOMS

In his effort towards empowering his electorate, the member representing Song constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, has donated assorted empowerment items to his electorate. Hon. Emmanuel donated 29 sewing machines, bags of maize as well as cash to his elctorate as part of his 2024 constituency project with a view to make them become self reliant. In his quest to complement the effort of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri led adminstration in improving the standard of education, the legislator commissioned a block of classrooms and office at Dolom Primary School in Dirma, Song LGA. Aside the empowerment programme, Hon. Emmanuel Kefas, who is the Chairman House Standing Committee on Security, rehabilitated several industrial boreholes across 11 wards, constructed block of classrooms and distributed over 3,000 exercise books to pupils in public schools. REP LAORI SPLASHES N15MILLION ON WOMEN TRAINED IN PEACE BUILDING

In a bid to bolster an all inclusive community security engagement, Women from Demsa/Numan/Lamurde federal constitiency  have benefited from an empowerment program sponsored by Rt. Hon. Kwamoti B. Laori. Given that tension is high with threats emanating from an ongoing nationwide protest against bad governance, hunger and insecurity, the law maker sponsored the training and empowerment of 150 women on peace building and resilience so as to equip them with the conflict resolution skills and strategy for resilience in the event of conflicts and humanitarian crisis.  The training  which was  uniquely  organized drew seasoned research fellows from the prestigious Institute of Peace and Conflicts Resolution Abuja - Barr Paul Gwaza and Mrs Aisha Esther Arigu who engaged participants.  The  3 days intensive training  was both theoretical and practical leveraging on past farmers-herders conflicts and disaster which affected the constituency in recent time...

ADHA LAWMAKER DISTRIBUTES 5,000 BAGS OF RICE, MAIZE TO GIREI ELECTORATE

The Member representing Girei Constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Abdullahi has distributed three thousand bags of maize and two thousand bags of rice to his constituents. The distribution ceremony, held in Jabbi Lamba, Girei Local Government Area, was flagged off by the Speaker Adamawa State House of Assembly, Bathiya Wesley. Speaker Wesley commended the Girei lawmaker for his generous contribution and urged beneficiaries to use the food items for the purpose intended.  He lauded Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for allocating constituency allowances to lawmakers, describing the distribution as timely considering the current food shortages. MUBI NORTH LEGISLATOR DONATES 2,000 BAGS OF GRAINS TO CONSTITUENTS

The member representing Mubi North constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Paul Samuel, has donated no fewer than 2,000 bags of food items to his constituents. The food items donated include bags of maize and rice to 11 political wards which comprise Mubi North constituency. Hon. Paul Samuel, had while donating the food items to cross section of his electorate on Wednesday, explained that the food items were donated in consideration of biting hunger in the society. The Lawmaker told his electorate at the event that the gesture was part of his 2024 constituency project, explaining that it is meant to appreciate his constituents for their support to him. Hon. NUJ V/PRESIDENT ESCAPES DEATH AS ADAMAWA NDLEA OFFICERS THREATEN TO SHOOT HIM

  The National Vice President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Zare Baba, has cheated death as some overzealous officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) threatened to kill him. The officers reportedly assaulted and pulled gun at the Vice President in charge of Zone E which comprises Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe States, at the NUJ Press Centre in Yola, Adamawa State. Comrade Zare who was at the Secretariat of the NUJ on Wednesday, in the evening, approached a drunk official of the NDLEA who was urinating at the gate of the Computer Centre at Secretariat and advised him to use available rest room. According to reports, the piece of advice official did not go down well with the personnel as a result of which he put an emergency call on his colleagues to teach the NUJ official a lesson. As part of commitment towards cushioning the effect of economic hardship being faced by his electorate, the member representing Uba/Gaya constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Eng. Adum John Alaba, has distributed food items as well herbicides to his constituents. Hon. Alaba of Uba/Gaya distributed maize, rice and cartons of herbicides as part of his 2024 constituency project. The gesture by the lawmaker attracted commendation from his electorate across 6 political wards who appreciated his effort in reaching out to his constituents at the time of need. The member representing Lamurde constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Bauna Myandassa, has expended the sum of N50million on grains for distribution to his electorate as part of his constituency project. Hon. Bauna, announced this known while speaking at a townhall meeting which he personally convened and held at Lamurde on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by the former member Demsa, Numan and Lamurde at the House of Representatives, Hon. Talatu Yohanna, former member Lamurde constituency, Hon. Mike Zidon, Chairman of Lamurde LGC, Councillors, Development Area Administrators, Traditional Rulers, Religious Leaders among others.
