The House of Assembly has also made a passionate appeal on the Federal Government to see the need of reconstructing Gombi -Borno- Yobe road to ease transportation of goods and services in the affected states.

The Legislators have equally mandated the House Committee on Works, Land and Survey to summon all contractors of the abandoned road projects so as  to brief them on the reasons behind abandoning the projects.

On his part, Hon. Abdullahi Umar Yapak( Verre) observed that the problem they have in the state is lack of financial back up that can help provide all the basic infrastructural facilities needed at their various constituencies.

Hon.Yapak, stated that he was confident that if the Governor has resources available, will definitely embark on the execution of people oriented projects, adding that past government awarded contract for the construction of Army Barracks- Mayoine road, but the construction company achieved only 30 percent and dumped the work.

Hon. Simon, told the house that the construction of the roads will help his constituents tremendously most especially in their business activities, and called on both the state and federal government to come to the aid of rural dwellers by ensuring the construction of the roads.

Speaking while presiding over the sitting, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas, said that work on Gombi-Ga'anda-Fotta and Pella-Maiha roads, were awarded during the 5th Assembly and that substantial payments were made, but up to date, nothing serious has been done about the roads.
