As part of deliberate effort to ensure quality representation, the member representing Demsa constituency at the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Kate Raymond Mamuno, is convening a town hall meeting in her constituency today.
The meeting which is sponsored by the National Democratic Institute (NDI) in collaboration with the Honourable Member is aimed at bringing representatives of Demsa electorate cut across 10 Wards with a view to deliberating on issues that will strengthen relationship between the member and her constituents.
Equally, the One-Day event is designed primarily to create an avenue for the presentation of Need Assessment document of Demsa constituency, enhance the understanding of legislative function to the constituents, as well as increase positive visibility around the female legislator.
According to the sponsor, the event which will take place at Galaxy hotel along Numan road in Demsa, will provide opportunity for the female legislator to respond and share feedback on her activities as a lawmaker and representative of the people.
Likewise, there is going to be question and answer/interactive session where participants will present further issues not captured in the constituency Needs Assessment among other things. The programme will start from 9:00am to 3:15pm.
