Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, says he takes exception in the ongoing media onslaught on him by the embattled Senator representing Adamawa Northern Senatorial Zone, Ishaku Abbo, urging him to concentrate on providing quality representation rather than raging war against his person.
Governor Fintiri, said he is preoccupied with laying strong bricks for the security of lives and property, growth, development and prosperity of the people and institutions of state and would not want to be distracted.
A statement signed by the Director General Media and Communications to Governor Fintiri, Solomon Kumangar, and made available to NEWS PLATFORM in Yola, the Adamawa State capital today, described the Senator’s action as unfortunate.
The Governor said that his attention was drawn to a video circulating in the social media in which the distinguished Senator, attempted to cast aspersion on him, and appealed to him to use the instrumentality of the party to channel his grievances.
The Governor added that he takes exception to the insults, innuendoes and attacks on his person and office, and however said that he does not intend to join issues with the Senator.
He called on the distinguished Senator and indeed all loyal members of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) to explore available intra-party channels to express their grievances in a civilised and democratic manner to engender cohesion and solidarity.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, however wished the Distinguished Senator all the best in his endeavor.
