NIGERIA@59: ADAMAWA NUT CALLS FOR A RENEWED EFFORT FOR NATION BUILDING



The Nigeria Union of Teachers(NUT) Adamawa State chapter, has called for a renewed effort in preserving the liberties and freedom every Nigerian is enjoying towards building a greater nation.

The Union also advocated for a shift in education policies particularly in Adamawa that would meet the pressing demands of its members like promotion, yearly increment and leave grant most especially at the Local Governments levels as Nigerians celebrate nationhood.

The State Chairman of the Union ,Comrade Rodney Nathan, made the call while felicitating with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Teachers and good people of Adamawa State on the occasion of 59th Independence Anniversary.

Comrade Rodney, who is also the Barde Cika Soro Adamawa eulogised National heroes' dedication, sacrifice and their calls for a sustained unity of purpose among Nigerians despite the heterogenous nature of the country.

The NUT Chairman equally used the Independence Day Celebration to further salute Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on the robust policies initiated by his government in the state and prayed for a full implementation particularly on the welfare of teachers.
