FINTIRI TASKS TEACHERS ON PRODUCTIVITY, ASSURES OF IMPROVED WORKING CONDITION



Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, of Adamawa State has tasked teachers in the state to be more committed to their official responsibilities so as to improve the standard of education in the state.

 However, the Governor assured the teachers of his administration's determination towards boosting the morale of the teachers through the implementation of minimum wage, allowances and promotion among other entitlements.

Governor Fintiri, who was speaking at the 2019 World Teachers' Day held at the Mahmud Ribadu Square Saturday, told the gathering that his government has accorded premium attention on the education sector taking into cognisance its significance in the society.

Governor Fintiri who was represented at the event by his Deputy, Chief Crowther Seth, charged the teachers to take their job of inculcating knowledge into future generation more seriously in the interest of the society, adding that no society can move forward without functional education system.

He further reiterated the commitment of his government to doing everything possible towards resuscitating the sector so as to make it more effective; hence, the declaration of free education on the sector, pleaging the readiness of his government towards supporting the teachers.

Speaking earlier, the Chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Adamawa State Chapter, Comrade Rodney Nathan, harped on the need for governments to create conducive environment for teaching and learning.
