DONATION: POLICE BOSS SENDS APPRECIATION LETTER TO ADHA MEMBER

The Commissioner of Police Adamawa State Police Command, CP Olugbenga Adeyanju has sent a letter of appreciation to the Member representing Michika constituency, Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada for donating patrol vehicle to police in Michika. It could be recalled that the Honourable Member had last week donated a Toyota hilux to Michika Divisional Police headquarters and Mitsubishi to Local Hunters as part of effort to support Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri's and security agencies in fighting crime. CP Adeyanju in an appreciation letter signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Dankambo Morris for CP and made available to NEWS PLATFORM Thursday, thanked the legislator for having the issue security of his people at heart. 7TH ADHA MARKS 1 YEAR WITH 11 BILLS, 46 RESOLUTIONS

Aminu Iya Abbas, Speaker 7th ADHA Barely one year of assumption of office, the Honourable Members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly have enacted about 11 bills and 46 resolutions in 218 days of 1st legislative year. In all, the Honourable Members have initiated about 22 bills out of which 10 are fresh bills, while 12 are amendment bills seeking to amend existing laws to make them be in tandem with current realities. Out of the bills, 11 have scaled through third reading (passage), 3 assented to by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, while 9 others had successfully passed through second reading and committed to different House Committees for scrutiny. Some of the bills passed by the House include; a Bill for a Law to Amend Adamawa State Local Government Establishment and Administration Law number 4. of 2000, so as to create Development Area Councils, a Bill for Law to provide for the Management of funds of State House of Assembly 2019, Adamawa State Minimum Standards for Health...

GUYUK CLASH: POLICE VOW TO ENFORCE 24 HOUR CURFEW, WARN VIOLATORS

Adamawa State Police Command has vowed to fully enforce the 24 hour curfew imposed on some communities in Guyuk and Lamurde Local Government Areas by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Olugbenga Adeyanju cautioned the residents of Lafiya, Boshikiri, Zakawan, Masermei,  Dumna Zerbu, Dumna Burthi,  Dumba Dutse, Duu, Tsalbu communities in Lamurde and Guyuk to obey law and order in their interest. The nominees confirmed for Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC) include; Mohammad Bakari as Chairman, Barr. Lilian Steven Nabe, Alhaji Adamu Chagwa and Saadatu Saad Abdullahi as members. WINDSTORM: ADHA PLEADS WITH FINTIRI TO SEND RELIEF MATERIALS TO LEKO KOMA

Abdullahi Ahmadu, Leko Koma Constituency ADHA Following a violent windstorm which wrecked havoc in Koma, Mapeo and So'o in Jada Local Government Area, the Adamawa State House of Assembly has passed about 4 resolutions aimed assisting the victims of windstorm. Part of the resolutions enacted by the state Lawmakers include; a passionate appeal on Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to help in providing relief materials to the victims of windstorm in Koma and other communities in Demsa, Fufore LGAs. The hallowed chamber has further constituted 7 Man Committee to be headed by the Majority Leader of the House, Hon. Hammantukur Yettisuri(Jada Mbulo) to have a work plan on how to mitigate the havoc being wrecked by the windstorm for approval by the house. Member representing Michika constituency at the Adamawa state House of Assembly, Hon. Joseph Ayuba Kwada has again donated a patrol vehicle to Local Hunters in Michika Local Government Area. According to the Hon. Kwada, the operational vehicle is aimed at complementing the efforts of the State and Federal Governments' towards fighting insecurity in and around Michika. It could be recalled that the Honourable Member had last week donated Toyota hilux to Michika Divisional Police headquarters so as to help them curtail security threats in the LGA. Lawmakers at the Adamawa State House of Assembly have just confirmed the appointment of Chairmen and Members of the State Pension Board, Civil Service Commission (CSC) and Local Government Service Commission. The nominees confirmed were sent to the Honourable House by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, where he requested the hallowed chamber to screen and confirm their appointment to serve as Chairmen and Members of the organisations. The nominees were screened over the weekend by the House Standing Committee on Public Petitions, Public Service and Electoral Matters headed by the Member representing Guyuk Constituency, Hon.
